Street Effective Kids

Hapkido is a purely defensive martial art and the practical applications of the techniques provide the students an assurance to protect themselves from bullies and other situations of conflict, if necessary.

“Street Effective” Kids is a recent initiative launched as a supplemental program for kids and their parents in our Hapkido Quest classes. Participation is completely optional and offered without any additional cost. The Street Effective Kids program is a workshop style format where Master Langin will focus on Hapkido and its uses (and non-uses) in the playground and at school. We will address issues regarding bullying, effective means in addressing the situation without violence and provide options for attempts to resolve such situations within the societal and school policies regarding bullying.

We hope that the time dedicated to Street Effective Kids will help students understand the practical side of Hapkido and to give kids the self confidence to stand up to issues that may arise on the street (i.e. playground, in their case!).
